Across the world 🗺, there are so many nations. Why Japan?
That was the most common question people would ask us when we first started to share God's calling for us to Japan.
Therefore, we would love to show you the faith journey we have gone through bit by bit.
God has called us to do mission for Japan:
From having “no heart” for Japan at the beginning, He touched us, and gave us direction and confirmation.
He has given us the Scriptures on Isaiah 42:10-13 about the islands:
Sing to the Lord a new song,
His praise from the ends of the earth,
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,
you islands, and all who live in them… …
Let them give glory to the Lord
and proclaim His praise in the islands.
The Lord will march out like a champion,
like a warrior He will stir up his zeal
God has shown us multiple visions and given us experiences to confirm the calling:
1) Spiritual understandings of “Shining light in the darkness, Japanese flag and the Land of the risen Son”
2) Experiences of being evangelised twice by two different evangelists asking if we were Japanese, and being led to an accommodation where Japanese exchange students occupied them. They left a converter in our room, which was written “warrior”. It was an agreement on Isaiah 42:13.
3) God also used additional visions, people and things to stir us with His hearts towards Japan.
There are great needs for the Body of Christ in Japan:
Japan closed Herself from other nations for 265 years from 1603 to 1868. As a result, She was delayed in receiving foreign missionaries and Jesus. Japanese remain as the second largest unreached people group on the earth with less than 1% Christian.
The local people prefer conformity. Being the minority makes many local Christians not comfortable to express their faith. Some believe in Jesus when they are oversea, but they lose their faith after adapting back to the local culture easily. They need examples and discipleship to stand firm in Christ.
Some churches do not have Pastors or one Pastor may lead two to three churches at the same time. The Body of Christ is seriously lack of leaders and labourers who serve there.
There must be reasons why God has called more of His children to serve in this land recently. It is going to have a move of God there. God would like to water the seeds (with the Living Water, the Holy Spirit) that have already been sowed there for a while and bring in a season of harvest. We can foresee the victorious picture of having Japanese involved in the ultimate worship in front of the Throne of the Lamb in advance, but what are God’s strategies to bring forth this? We are happy to discuss for more. :)
I will plant Her for Myself in the land;
I will show My love to the one I called ‘Not My loved one.’
I will say to those called ‘Not My people,’ ‘You are My people’;
and they will say, ‘You are My God.’
(Hosea 2:23)
